If you have driven through or live near Rockridge you may have noticed a foul smell coming through the storm drains. This odor has been noticed by residents for some time and has remained a mystery. The source has not been easily identified as the pipes appear to be clean, though it is assumed that the smell may be the result of decaying organic material in the surrounding ponds. The CSD wants you to know that this problem has not gone unnoticed and Castle & Cooke has agreed to bring in an engineering firm to evaluate the problems and work to find a solution. We are committed to work through this issue and find a remedy!
